# Audio credits

Every sound in this folder is a real recording from [Freesound](https://freesound.org), released under
**Creative Commons 0** (public domain dedication — no attribution required; credited here anyway).
Nothing is synthesised. Source: each sound's Freesound high-quality preview.

Processing (scratch build script): excerpt, high-pass (some), trim, fades, equal-power crossfade at the
loop point, loudness normalisation (loops ≈ −23 LUFS integrated; one-shot slices peak-normalised to
−1 dBFS), Opus in Ogg (64 kb/s). Wave slices were cut at detected wave onsets / peaks / troughs. One-shot files are sprites; the
slice table is in `src/audio/soundBank.js`.

Note: `big_splash.ogg` slice 1 is qubodup's mix of CC0 sounds (wormer2's 415669 / 415670, roboroo's 436792 and others, all CC0).
